What is Allround Textile Sealant used for?
Allround Textile Sealant is a water-based sealant for textiles of every kind, indoors and out, from convertible roofs to seat covers. How to use it is set out in Koch-Chemie's technical data sheet for Allround Textile Sealant, a PDF on this page. If you are unsure, send us the job on WhatsApp and we will confirm it before you open the bottle.
How do I use Allround Textile Sealant?
From Koch-Chemie's technical data sheet for Allround Textile Sealant (a PDF on this page), in our words: Clean the textile with Pol Star or Mehrzweckreiniger and let it dry fully, mask off areas that should stay untreated, then apply a thin, even wet film with a microfibre sponge and work it crosswise into the fibres, ideally between 10°C and 40°C. Drying and the full effect can take up to 24 hours depending on the textile and the surrounding temperature, and the sealed surface should then only be cleaned gently. Check the sheet's warnings before first use, and where this differs from the sheet, follow the sheet.
Do I need to test Allround Textile Sealant first?
Always on a hidden spot first - finishes vary. Never saturate perforated leather, and test coloured hide first. When unsure, send us a photo of the surface on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you open the bottle.
What is the difference between Allround Textile Sealant and Gummifix?
