From Koch-Chemie's technical data sheet for Gelcoat Heavy Cut (a PDF on this page), in our words: Put 5 pea-sized drops on a Heavy Cut Pad, short Lambswool Pad or Twisted Wool Pad, spread crosswise at low speed, then work it with a rotary polisher at max. 1000 rpm or an eccentric polisher on its highest setting. Wipe off residue with a Polish & Sealing Towel, use Gelcoat Micro Cut to clear polishing marks on dark surfaces, and seal afterwards with Marine Protective Sealant, Gelcoat Finish or Ceramic Boat Hull. Check the sheet's warnings before first use, and where this differs from the sheet, follow the sheet.

Work with a machine, measure the panel first, and finish with a lighter polish.
