From Koch-Chemie's technical data sheet for Marine Protective Sealant (a PDF on this page), in our words: After pre-cleaning with a Hull PreCleaner, polishing any matt or chalked areas with a gelcoat polish and degreasing with Panel Preparation Spray, put four to five sprays on a Polish & Sealing Towel rather than on the surface, work it in crosswise in sections of approx. 1x1m and buff with a clean microfibre cloth before it dries. Avoid any chemical wash on the same day, and use a neutral shampoo for routine washes afterwards so the sealant lasts. Check the sheet's warnings before first use, and where this differs from the sheet, follow the sheet.

Work with a machine, measure the panel first, and finish with a lighter polish.
